Are you planning on running a cog setup or a serpentine setup? For 10 psi at 5500 rpm, I am guessing it would equate to about 14 psi at 6400. Probably a 68 tooth crank and a 34 tooth blower pulley would get you there. That would equal a 6.87 serpentine crank with a 3.5 inch blower pulley.

I am guessing at this, so my #'s might be off.

As far as blowoff valves go, you can run any of the good ones, paxton race, vortech race, procharger race.

I have my old paxton racing bypass that I can sell you. It can be welded right off the discharge tube.

Not to hijack the thread, but if he passes on the bypass please consider me. I am using my stock plastic Bosch 110 valve and looking for a good bypass.

    Thanks,
    Eric

Not a problem, if he passes on it, it is all yours. I think $100 is fair?

got a pic of it .... interested . what is safe boost, and rpm with my combo ?
I have 3.73 gears and 26 tire..... I have serpentine, drivers side set up and paxton said it would make about 18 lb's on a 302. I'm wondering about my 351, don't want to
blow it up before I even get to tune it ya know....
ps do you have any pic's of your set up just curious being that you have a
408 351 based and all might help me out...

    thanks for your help Sherman....

I'll get a picture of it tonight.

You should be ok with 3:73's and a 26 inch tall tire if you keep the boost at around 12-14 pounds. However, with that gear and tire, I sincerely doubt you are going to go through the traps under 5500 rpm.

What are the internals of the 351? My block is a lightning block with good internals and it has done well so far.

Just keep the tune conservative and run good gas when you race. It goes a long way towards keeping the motor together.

o.k sounds good ... stock lightning shortblock rods, crank and all, but forged pistons trw 9to1 for now I'm afraid....what your motor consist of internaly and what boost do you run?
so what boost level can I safely run with my combo, reason I ask is paxton said the renegade set up I bought make around 18 on a 302 ...but I have a 351 less restriction
hopfully less boost... 10 to 12 to 14 ...I really don't know what safe is...

    thanks Sherman

For only 10 to 12 pounds of boost the Bosch 110 valve I am using works great. I have ready many articles and spoken with alot of guys who said that valve will hold 14 pounds with ease. Not trying to scare you off the sale :) Of course I would be lying if I told you I didnt have a motive.

I have a good internals, but a stock lightning block. My pistons were custom 8.5 to 1, but they are probably an off the shelf part by now.

I am sure you can run 14 pounds without even blinking. I run about 18 right now. I'll try to get a picture of the blowoff valve tonight.
