Just Ordered Another UPR 4" Powerpipe - 3rd time!

I have tried twice to get a powerpipe to work with my C&L meter on my car, I always ran in to problems.

Now I have the proper size air filter for the meter and for some reason I feel the 3rd time will be the charm with the powerpipe.

Before I always had idle problems with the powerpipe and C&L maf, but I will clock the meter until it is perfect this time. If it still doesn't work I will swap to a Pro-M. I think now with the proper size filter and knowing to buy extra hose for the bypass valve, I think all will go well. Plus we enlarged the opening to route the powerpipe through, so I won't have to remove the tire to get to the maf and reclock it each time.

If it works I am getting a new dyno-tune right after, if not I'll order the Pro-M and get a new dyno-tune.

Either way there will be an even badder 92 LX Vert roaming the streets

Sounds cool man. When you get it all done post the before and after numbers. Also, let us know how much boost you gain.

I am currently running the stock S-Trim induction but will be going to a power pipe later this year. I would like to know what it will gain me.

The only before #s I have are 412rwhp SAE with the old Powerdyne blower.

Anything less than 450rwhp with or without the powerpipe will be a big disappointment, but the bigger story will be what it runs at the track.

With the new DRs, a powerpipe, and a new dyno-tune - anything over 11.4 with be disappointing and trap speeds below 124 will also not make me happy.

The car with the Vortech on the old Powerdyne tune (no powerpipe) and on beat drag radials (1.99 60') ran a 11.8@122+.

I'd say with a conservative 1.8 60' knocking 4/10ths off the 1/4 and a new tune (1/10) and more boost (1/10) the car should run solid 11.2-11.4s@124+.

Back in the day with the Powerdyne I heard the car ran a 11.6@118 with a looser converter.

    I'll keep you posted.
