    10 rib, 12 rib

    Ok...I know there were threads giving part numbers, but where do you buy the things, and what lengths are available ??

    Ive asked one guy in the US to search for me, but he isnt having much luck for some reason.

    I have 12 rib pulleys, so it would be nice if I could use them, although that is overkill for what I will need initially..

    But I'd be happy with a 10 rib, or if I had to, an 8 rib for now.

    I need a belt, 64.5" would be ideal.

    Could probably work with 63.5" or 64" though.

    65" would be pushing it.

    Bare in mind I am in the UK, so quite a few places dont ship international, although I can get them shipped to a US address and he can forward them to me if they are happy working that way.

    Anybody help ??

    Here are the dayco belts in 10 rib part numbers. I will check with them on 12 rib for you and let you know what i find out. You should be able to have any Auto Parts store that sells Dayco belts order you the belt. Call them and ask them what brand of belts they carry. If they carry Dayco just give them the part number. They should be able to get it in.

    You can call Gates direct to verify if they make 12 rib. Napa sells Gates I know that much.

    Mr Howard, please see below for all of the 10 rib belts Dayco offers.

    5100495 example this is a 10 ribbed belt that is 49.5" long
    5100510 51.0" long
    5100518 51.8" long
    5100533 53.3" long
    5100540 54.0" long
    5100555 55.5" long
    5100568 56.8" long
    5100575 57.5" long
    5100585 58.5" long
    5100600 60.0" long
    5100608 60.8" long
    5100613 61.3" long
    5100630 63.0" long

    I did have a guy check here locally in the UK for Gates. They say they dont have anything near the lengths that I want.

    All their part nos are in metric over here. 6 ribs arent a problem, its anything above that is.

    The 64" belt listed above would work fine for me.

    Tried 2 x 1650mm belts on it tonight. It would probably have worked...except that the 2 belts arent exactly the same length.

    So that option is no good.

    If you are really at a lost. I'd be more than happy to get one here and mail it out to you if need be.

    I once hooked up our taxi driver in St Kitt's with some razor parts because he was unable to get the replacment parts in St Kitts. :teeth:

    Here are the 12 ribs that Dayco makes. Doesn't look like near as many options. Or anything in the 64" range.

    Let me know if you need anything else!

    These are the belts we offer in 12 ribs:
    5120525=52.5" in length
    5120555=55.5" in length
    5120603=60.3" in length
    5120702=70.2" in length
    5120720=72.0" in length
    5120738=73.8" in length
    5120843=84.3" in length
    5120865=86.5" in length
    5120903=90.3" in length

    Thanks...Ive asked a couple of other guys to see what they can come up with too. I might call on your assistance...

    I'll maybe have a look and get a few 6 rib belts. I should be able to find 2 that are the same length, which should work. I was very surprised, as the difference betwen teh two 1650mm belts was very surprising.
    When tensioning the belt, one was tight, and the other still loose. Thats quite a difference.
