    600+ rwhp fuel system questions

    Hey Guys:

I am building a 347 Dart block with a Novi 2000 blower I am hoping on being close to 600rwhp......I have a stock fuel system now...i just bought Mallory rails and regulator....I am going to run a "tube pickup" like a cartech pick up.....now i need some line sugestions and pump sugestions......what someone told me to do is run one AN-8 line to feed.... and use your old stock feed as your return??.....is that what people are doing?.....what the cheapest "flexable" line and what AN conectors should i get?...I am fimilar with the alumimun cheap line but dont want to go that route

    thanks for your help

    Mike

I haven't had mine dyno'd yet (still in pieces) however, a friend used a similar combo (he was using 50 lb injectors) and he put down around 550rwhp thru an AOD. Injectors were too small and it was leaning out on top.

The only downside is that I think the Aeromotive pump might not be able to support that much HP for a long time. So I will be upgrading the fuel pump soon to a Weldon 2025.

They were just Walbro 255lph inlines I ordered from JDs Performance. They were ~$140 each, I think. I have them mounted just in front of the rear axle on the floor underneath the car. The car blew a header gasket on the dyno during tuning and lost the a/f reading so I couldn't get it finished. So with the a/f <10:1 thanks to the stock A9P and through the AOD it made a little over 600rwhp on 13psi and 93 octane (no meth kit).

I ran it for three summers on the street. No problems just a little loud. Not to bad somewhat hard to hear over the dumps. I put the dial-a-flow on it last summer however, to 1.- slow the pump down on thre street and extend it's life and 2.-to quiet it. The sound is somewhat a personal preference. It really wasn't to bad with out the dial-a-flow.

What's the max rwhp/rwtrq for a stock fuel system? I'm wondering when I'll need to replace my stock fuel rails/lines/etc.

I have the exact same set-up on my car(except Aeromotive regulator) and it has works flawlessly for 2 years.

    Mickey,
If you need an in-take pick-up, I'm pretty sure I still have my old one in a box. I'lll unload it cheap.

Here is a picture of my twin walbro gs392s with a granatelli in tank to a -10 to a y block to a pair of 255ltr inlines to another y-block to a -8 feed and a -6 return. This all feeds 1/2 inch rails with 83lb injectors with a bg 1to1 boost referenced regulator! No dyno #s yet but with 360cid dart motor and a t-trim hoping for close to 600rwhp on pump gas!
