Singing the belt slip blues!

I posted this is the novi 1k forum, but it's not exactly novi 1k specific. I did a search, but couldn't find any specifics. I've seen as much as 16# of boost on my novi 1k (2 belt), but I have a problem w/ belt slip as I know some of you do (and occassionally it throws the belt). Recently the car is only seeing 11#.

Is there an easy cure....anti-slip belt dressing? How well would that work and for how long? Since the car is mainly street driven, I don't think a cog setup would be good or is it?

Is there a special pulley that would keep this from happening? How about a brace of some sort that would keep the blower bracket from torquing?

Any and all help would be appreciated........this is bothering the hell out of me.

I was getting alot of slip as well.

I went ahead and droped the coin on a 8 rib set up with a 8 inch crank pulley.

vortech sent me the wrong stuff so I got a free upgrade to a 10 rib set up!

At the track I use VHT on my belts and it usually last 10 rounds. I see pulleys being sold in Mustang magazines that have air holes cut in the sides and ribs that have slices to allow the air out from under the belt and they seem to help alot but a gallon of VHT has lasted me 6 years and I still have 3/4 gallon left.
