Thanks Michael. A chrome alternator and some ally heads will be the finishing touches.... I think.

    looks good,
right hand drive on your side of the world??
aluminum valve covers with ribs would look better,
    to match the blower ribs
what size is that blower, and what boost is it stuffing in there?
are you slightly overdriven with that set of cogs?

    Thanks vinces427bb.

Yip, South Africa is a right hand drive country.
Have already changed the tappet covers but I've got plans again. Will consult you guys in the relevant tread... when I find it.

The blower is a Holley/Weiand 250. Boost is... now what was that gauge marked in again? Bar? Pound? Let me go for a drive again, I'll get back to you on that.

Overdriven? Second time someone has mentioned something like that. (Quick Google search) Something about counting teeth on the pulleys... Overdriven- Not good on a street car... Got to get back to you on that as well.

Guys, I've been trying to get the car as drivable as possible (suspension, steering, cooling, etc) and except for mucking around with limiting the advance on the distributor and fitting bigger second stage jets, I haven’t touched the engine or blower. That’s why I'm here. Learning from you guys that have done it before.

Thanks for the questions. I take it as homework, guiding me in the right direction to start my studies.
Once again, thanks guys! I'll go do my homework and report back in a new thread with as much as possible info on the car and engine.
