    mods to ys impeller

just picked up at swap used ys the tip of the impeller snout arount the recesed mounting nut part of it was groung away with what looks like a porting tool not broken or chiped could this be some kind of perf mod or maybe to balance it ? i really dont think so but thought i would ask. is vortech the only one who can service and repair it? any idea how much$$ it would cost for a rebuild ?

Here is a picture of the "mods" done to the YS. I was told this was a factory balancing technique and not an aftermarket modification.

That is the same exact head unit that I traded to TommyG, we traded that for an S-trim plus extras, I was happy with the trade but Tommy was very angry when he saw those impeller marks (this was after I had left), he thought that I screwed him over so i had that pic, I cut it down and sent it to him, he still doesn't believe me I guess. Can't please everyone.
