    Pulley?

Running a 331 Dart with a S-trim. Stock upper pulley 3.33 and 8" lower. It made 13#'s of boost. I'm looking for alittle more. I have a 2.95, but the tuner said it's too small. What should I put on? Anyone have one F/S?

You are looking for a 3.12 pulley. You can search ebay as well for them. If not vortech and ASP will have them for about $75.
351 "stockshort block": -Vortech T-trim (21 psi), Trick Flow Heads, Lunati Cam, Weldon fuel system, Lentech AOD., 3.55 gears, 27" Hoosier QTP's, 3500# with me

You want a 3.12 pulley like he said. Best place to get it is from Summit. ASP doesnt make a 3.12.

ASP can make you any size pulley. A custom pulley made if they don't make the 3.12 will be like $90 with a 3 week lag time. But thay can do it. I called for a 10 rib 3.33 and they wanted $95 to make it. But later found out vortech now makes those. So got it from them. No lag time.

Vortech also makes a 3.00" pulley. I just got one, but think its going to max out my injectors so I might take it right back off. Probably get around to putting it on and playing around with the tune on monday. If it does max out my injectors I will probably sell it. If your interested let me know.

ASP quoted me some crazy price to make a 3.12...like $150 or something. Maybe I caught them on a bad day? I found that if you take the part #'s off of vortech's website and run them at Summit they are cheaper...plus Summit is only 2 days shipping versus Vortech who is on the other coast.

I just got off the phone with my Tuner. He said the 3.00 would be over spinning my blower too much. He said if anything 3.15 would be best. Thanks for the offer though.

Vortech tech said a 2.95 would be fine on a s trim so how would a 3.00 over spin your blower?

Vortech is probably assuming a 6.87 crank, while (homie:teeth: ) above has an 8".

    8" & 3" at 6,000 put the s-trim at 55,200. Just a little high.
    6.87 & 2.95" =48,206 which is fine

One needs to be carful when they talk to vortech. They are very simple in they way they answer things. It seems many of their ideologies are: "if it makes sale it'll work", and "bigger blower = better" regardsless of your motor setup or what your trying to do with your car.

Now there are a few knoweldgeable people there. Ricky is a good one to talk to.
