Its crazy isnt it? That much of a size difference and the F1R will make every bit of the same power if not more...........

You have to take into consideration how long the x-trim has been around, back when Vortech just made everything bigger, now the impeller designs have improved. I'm assuming that is the significant change made to the YSi to differentiate it from the YS.

X Trim is the older technology, it's more interesting how a YSi Trim is as good as a F1R which is 400 more cfm.

Mabie in renegade, but on a big motor W/cogs, i just dont see the ysi making the same power. Trace meyer went 172+ on drag radials at 3300#. i just dont see the ysi making that kind of power.....

That being said, the ysi is a very good blower

I was pretty impressed to see Josh Williams go 8.70@161 with a non-intercooled YSI in NMRA drag radial. It was something like the cars 4th time down the track.

I'm friends with Josh, and he's got a lot more in it. He changed classes, he was a Renegade newb but changed the car over. So I think there are several changes he can make to make the car even more competitive. I think mph-wise he's going to to be the guy to watch with the YSi.
