what size tap do i use for the oil drain. the book says 3/8-16npt. but it looks like 1/2-14npt. this is the main thing holding me up from installation of my novi 2000 on a 99 mustang gt.

3/8-16npt is correct. To be sure, go to the local hardware store and test fit the supplied fitting to a female 3/8-16npt.
