    busted rear seal

    my rear seal on v-1 blew and i was wondering were i could get a seal to replace it. vortech won't sell just seal they want to rebuild and it starts at $360 for minor rebuild. need help any advice would be thankfull

    I don't know how the impeller is removed from the Vortech unit so you can change the seal, but on my Novi 2000 I couldn't just slide off the impeller. It had to be pulled off. I was replacing the impeller because it was damaged. I had to really destroy the old impeller to get it off. As for getting a seal, on Ebay there are always a set of seals forsale. I purchased them myself for my S-Trim just incase. (I went to a Vortech. No more Paxton) I paid $30.00 for them. Go to ebay and put in a search through Ebay Motors. Just look up Vortech. You'll find them.

    thats what i did i just got the seals and will have local shop put them in, if that doesn't work i will have to go to vortech
