my BDS seems to be weak on boost.that is my experiance.
i think you would need to get a custom ground cam to get a .509 w 114LSA.call comp cams,it's where i got my cam.
what carb do you have?what use is the boat?[jet boat race, drag, ski]

THE CAM I FOUND IS FROM MOPAR,SAME DURATION AND LIFT OF THE CAM THAT IS INSTALLED NOW,BUT WITH 114 CENTERS NOT 108. ALSO BEEN LOOKING AT SOME SPLIT DURATION CAMS,AT 112 CENTERS, WORD HAS IT THAT THEY WORK VERY WELL WITH A BLOWER. I'M RUNNING A PAIR OF 1850 FLOW MODIFIED HOLLYS WITH 50cc PUMPS. THE BOAT IS A FLATBOTTOM V-DRIVE, RUNNING 22% OVERDRIVE AND A 11 1/2 X 15 PROP. WE USE THE BOAT FOR BLASTING AROUND THE LOCAL LAKE,SORT OF A WATERBORNE STREET ROD.

WOW 20% over, are you looking for 20lbs of boost?!
    ya gunna use C16 fuel?

THE 20% OVER IS MY V-DRIVE GEAR RATIO, I PLAN ON RUNNING 8 LBS OF BOOST AT ABOUT 5% UNDER 92 OCTANE FUEL. AFTER GETTING SETTLED IN MAY TRY 1 TO 1 GEARING 10 TO 12 BOOST ON 114 OCTANE VP FUEL. FOUND A LUNATI SPLIT DURATION CAM, GOOD UP TO 6200 RPM 110 CENTERS.

i use a NGK plug R5670-7[stock#2891] gapped at .030,34 degrees timing in at 2500,holley jetted at 89 squared no power valves.you can jet down the ptimary a few and go up in the secondary to your liking but only about 3 or 4 jets to be safe.
if ya need other info just speekup.

THE DYERS 8-71 IS DUE AT THE DOOR ON MONDAY 1/23. HAVE NEW CAM INSTALLED,REPOLISHED FRONT MOTOR MOUNT PLATE TO KILL SOME TIME. YOU SAY THE 110 CENTER CAM DIDN'T WORK FOR YOU,WHATS UP WITH IT?MADE MY CHOICE FROM SPECS FOUND ON THE BDS SITE. GETTING PICS ONTO THE NET IS SOMETHING I HAVEN'T LEARNED YET,BUT WILL LOOK INTO. THEN I COULD START SELLING EXTRA PARTS ON EBAY, INSTEAD OF BUILDING A BIG PILE.

WHAT ARE THE MAJOR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE 110 CAM, AND THE CAM YOU NOW RUN. IE PERFORMANCE GAIN,IDLE,TOP END ETC.I'M STILL WILLING TO MAKE A CHANGE,BUT WOULD LIKE A IDLE LOPE, AND ABLE TOO MAKE 6000 RPM. SELL ME ON THE 112 CENTERS. THE LAKE IS MY RADIATOR COOLING IS NEVER A PROBLEM.

    cam

    that's a big radiator!:teeth: i knew that.
i am not much of a salesman other than what i have had to do to my car and read places.post at moparts.com or dragraceresults.com,dodgetrucks.com thay will all tel you to go 112+lobe seperation.i am just trying to save you the trouble i went through.i got my cam from a build on hot rod TV.i still need less overlap becvause i have the pulleys on for 14lbs of boost and only get 8.what more can i say.
