12, 14 rib belt

Has anyone ever tried going to pulleys with 12 or more ribs? I know I have yet to get this thing running but belt slip and belt life is a concern for me due to it being a street driven car. I have a 10 rib set-up now, I can also make my own pulleys as I already did for the 10 rib. Any thoughts on this?

If you have the room, and belts are available in your length, why not ?

Providing blower pulley doesnt get too wide, and place extra loading on the bearings due to more leverage on the shaft.
