what's the biggest motor a YSI should be used on?

My engine builder says a 383 and no bigger. He says anything bigger than a 383 stroker, the YSI will not be efficent. What do you guys think?

    definitly can go bigger!

I plan to run the YSi or Novi 2000 on a 408 stroker....next!

It flows 1600 cfm. I've seen smaller blowers on bigger engines. I guess it just depends on how fast you want to go.

I was thinking about going with a 434 man o war block, basic set up afr 225's with upgrades, canfield spyder intake, custom cam with high 600's lift, AEM......

I got a email forward to me by Mike Post (former renegade champ) He had a combo similiar to mine 434ci, tfs R heads and intake ported, ext and ran a 8.80 lauching at idle!!

I can't wait to get my car running.

I have a YSI on a 555" BBC. It's really too small for that big of an engine, but it did make 1182 HP and 1142 torque. It's operating out of it's effeciency range when pullied to make serious boost on that big a motor.
    Vortech YSI Supercharged
CSU 1000 HP with PCI Superbowls
    1182 HP/1140 Tq w/17 PSI
    Avg HP 4000-6500 RPM = 1051
    Avg Tq 4000-6500 RPM = 1050
