    Power steering reolcation kit/bracket

Just wondering who has this bracket/kit on their car. I was told to get it because then the head unit will come with a stiffer bracket set-up that puts it closer to the crankshaft.

Is it worth the $200? I would think that I could only benefit from having the compressor closer to the crank - better fit, likely better belt alignment, etc.

    Thanks

The "renegade" bracket option does reloate the blower closer to the engine. It is also a dual layer bracket design taht bolts the blower directly to the head. That eliminates any flex associated with the a/c bracket system. Unfortunately that does eliminate the a/c and p/s. The p/s reloate kit is a mount for the alt and p/s and places the p/s pump in the same general location of the factory smog pump.

    Hope this helps,

    Chris

Does this kit work well? And, is it sold by ProCharger? I really want to keep my P/S, but have already ditched the A/C. I would love to run a 'renegade' type setup with a D-1SC and yet retain the P/S.

    Thanks,

Yes its a procharger piece. You need to ask for the "pass side p/s relocation kit". It seems to work well. Its what the real street racers are using since that class requires p/s.

Thanks, Chris. That's what I needed to know. I'll be keeping an eye out for the Real Street class when they pass through Columbus for NMRA to see how it looks.

Is this part included in ATI's R/S legal, non-intercooled, kit?
