    Balls.....?

So I finally need to replace the Balls in my drive. I toasted them today on the road course. I checked and I have 72,612 miles on the unit and the Balls finally could not handle the stress of dancing around the 2.5 miles road course. I tried to search for the topics that covered the places to get them bulk but like a rookie I could not find the post. lol
    Thanks
    Aaron

Code name ' Dirk' found the correct hardness of the Balls and he emailed people who wanted them. I just emailed him so if he can remember the name of the place I will put in a large order and retail at cost plus shipping. I lost a bunch of this stuff on my MAC when it died. Do you remember the hardness number? and correct size? The incorrect size was reported once and did not want that number. lol

sorry I've not been around guys, I've been in school the past year and will be going another 2-3 more yrs. I just found out I was accepted to PA school. SO, needless to say, i've been running on VERY LITTLE SLEEP lately! And I have another 2 years of it comming my way:(

The balls are a 1 1/16 inches grade 25. I paid about 56 bucks for 50 balls from applied industrial tech. in tacoma washington. 10 minute drive from my house. The number is 253-383-5363

I finally got my NX kit installed, worked out the bugs and MAN, the combo of a supercharger and N20 is great! I have always loved how N20 hits, yet always hated to fill the bottle I will eventually upgrade to either the VR4 again, or add a dual stage N20 kit and run a 75 shot, then a 150-200 shot:D

Hope all is well with everyone!

It was not the balls in the drive but the impeller came loose. I put more lock tite on the bolt and she is running. I will try to call for the balls on Wed. when I am back home. I will keep you guys in the loop.

Thanks very much, Now How about and oil cooler tube. Mine is shot. I thought about just drilling and tapping, but I dont know what would be better. If I could find another oil cooler dipstick, that might be best.

Check Ebay Cund.racing sells a new one.
I ones drilled a SN 89 and tapped a hosebarb in the bottom away from the oilpump pickup and 1 in the side.
That blower still runs 2 years later.

    Resurrected old thread, ball spec.

I called Craig at Paradise Wheels. Looks like I did a big no-no. I bought balls from McMaster which are Grade 25 and also hardened to Rockwell 'C' of about 65. The grade 25 has much too loose a diameter tolerance. The balls also need to be Grade 5 or better. Paradise Wheels goes even better than that and uses Swiss made Grade 0.

The balls are supposed to be sacrificial and be relatively soft to conform to the races. The harder balls will scratch up the races and possibly the output shaft.
