Anyone own or have info on the new ET Streets for 17" wheels???

Sounds like a strange breed of tire putting a bias ply on a 17xX wheel with a regular radial tire up front.

Anyone have any current info on these tire? Are they even available yet?

I can't imagine they will hook like a 15" wheel ET street would but it's gotta be better than a 17" DR.

I will have a spare set of 17" 95R wheels for my 275 DRs but when those wear out I may try these ET streets.

    Opinions?

Actually Steve, even though the web site says they are not released yet, I personally installed a set on my friends Z06 2 weeks ago. He hasn't run them at the track yet, but on the street they hook hard. I live in San Diego and MT is only 45 minutes North of me. We drive up there and get all of our tires.

I emailed MT back on Feb. 7:

The March 2003 Car Crafts states that you will come out w/ 17" ET Streets. Is this true? When? Any specs? I'm looking for something like a275/50/17 that will fit on the stock 17x8 wheels.

    On Feb. 10 they responded:

    Hey Randy,

    Yep, the rumor is true. They'll be a 26x11.50-17LT (Part# 3743). About a
half inch shorter, but about an inch wider than the 275/50's. Hopeful
release around the end of this month. Keep an eye on the site for an update
concerning specs and actual release date. Take care.

    Thanks for the info Mc.

I'm looking forward to seeing some of these at the track soon.
As soon as my Nittos are done I will try some of these.

Randy I'm going to borrow part of your letter with the part number for my Corral thread so more people can get cracking on getting some of these bad boys.
