    Air to Water tube question

I'm running my tubes for my air to water intercooler which is mounted in the back. The tubes are 4" and the intercooler is a PT-1200 unit mounted behind the passenger seat (coupe). Power adder is a Procharger. Here are my questions:

    1. Do I need to worry about the discharge pipe getting hot enough to burn the carpet, interior pieces, etc? after making a run? In other words, some sort of wrap on the tube, etc????

    2. Will there be any ill effects if I paint the tubes black to make them less visible? Preferably powder coat them??

    Thanks for the info!

i doubt it will burn the carpet but you could insulate it.the tube could get to 250*F and that may make the carpet fibers brittle.
