Thinking of buying a NOVI 1000. Have questions.

I currently have a 9lb powerdyne. I have never put it on the car. I have since rethought some things and am considering getting rid of the powerdyne and getting a 1000.
I like to idea of the novi using the one belt vs. 2 on the powerydne. I installed a Mark VIII fan on my fox and cannot see the extra crank pulley clearing without work.
My question is where can i get a great deal on a 1000. I mean a really good deal that would swing me that way.
Also what kinda RWHP should I see with the Novi 1000, F150 crank pulley, and by pass valve.
    My current combo is
302 with twisted wedge heads (Stage 1 port work by fox lake)
    TFS Stage 1 cam
    1.6 rr
    Pro M 75mm bullet MAF
    65mm Throttle body
    42lb injectors
    Performer RPM intake
    MSD 6BTM with MSD coil
Underdrives, electric fan and typical headers with h pipe and flow's.

    Please give me your thoughts.

Check with ModernPerformanceNW or MuscleMotors for screamin deals on Novi's.

With your heads and cam you should see almost 400RWHP or more. You may need more crank pulley with your airflow requirements.

Only 400 rwhp? I would surely hope to see more than that.
Do you have a phone number or website for ModernPerformanceNW

If that is not enough than maybe you should consider the Novi 2K.

Granted I like to guess a little conservative on HP #s you will be pushing a 1k pretty hard.

Well your combo is similar to another user on here.

He is running 10.90 at 128 I believe so I would assume that you could duplicate his combo as best as you can.

exgmguy is his username he runs between 8-10 pounds of boost on his 1000.

I would love to have a Novi 2000 but my funds won't allow it right now.
I am hoping to see 450 rwhp. If I go with a Novi 1000 then I would want to do the mods everyone is speaking of
    Powerpipe
    discharge tube the 468LC makes
    By pass valve
    F150 crank
Anyone know where I can get these and what this stuff costs?

    93 Notch
any idea what exgmguy is running combo wise?

450hp is by no means impossible. I don't know if it can be done with an F 150 pulley or not but maybe.

I'm hoping that some of our faster aluminum headed combo guys will chime in here to help you out.:)

I'd say 450 could be done, according to the handy Corral H/P estimator and my info of 11.77 @ 116.50 in a 3200# Hatch that'd put me in the area of 400 H/P (No flames please :D, use of the H/P estimator for illustrative purposes only), this was on a stock 150k (+) short block, still running the FMU & 24#. I too run the TFS heads (box stock). I will say that I have smoked many a S-trim cars at the track with my "little" Novi, I'm very pleased with it and look forward to clicking off a solid 10 sec. pass this year once I figure out how to get it all back together, lol.

How much boost did you see with the F-150 pulley? Did you ever get it dynoed and or tuned? Thanks!

Usually saw about 7#'s, never had it professionally tuned or dyno'd. Will have to get a tuner with the new combo though, I've removed too much smog related equip & the check engine light is gonna go nuts, lol.
