3.0 pulley on 6rib.....

Anyone running a 3.0 pulley on a 6rib? Are you experiencing belt slip?

The smallest 6 rib drive pulley we have ever been able to run with any success was a 3.20 on a D1SC. Any smaller than taht and we saw either too much boost or massive belt slip.

Hi there,
If you're looking for an increase in boost why not increase your crank pulley size. The stk. GT crank pulley is 6.50" and if you get a 6.75" or 7" you'll see the increase in boost pressure you're looking for.

I saw an approximate 3-4# increase by going from a 3.80 to a 3.50 on a D1SC.
So you can figure your gains would be right around here.

Michael Plummer, Yeah I'm looking to get an overdrive crank pulley now, but no one makes a 6-rib. I have found a couple of places that make them in 8-rib, but one place told it would work and the other said the belt would walk on the pulley and shred.
