How hard would an SN-93 head unit be to mount to an LS1 in my Trans Am? It is a road race only car, and was looking at doing this rather than going internal on a used engine (I'd rather not throw good money into a 50k mile engine).

I'm talking manufacture of my own bracket, hoses, etc. Good news is that there is a lot of under-hood room, because of no A/C, emissions or other stuff. I'm coming along with my fabricating abilities - but I'm no professional. I feel that I could do enough to get a 1" aluminum plate make a mounting plate from it (cut it, drill some holes, maybe wallow out some to get correct backspacing). Then, with generic silicone air tubing I could make the rest.

I'd have to buy a new pulley.

If I'm running fairly mild levels of boost for now, how necessary is it that I get fuel management software, infectors, tuning, etc. I'm thinking that tuning is a must. I've got an agressive tune on the car now - after installing intake and exhaust I got Thunder Racing to tune it.

Anyway, what am I thinking about getting into?
