Thread: bonnet or box?

    bonnet or box?

    My car is going to be carbureted; so what would I be better using; the carb box or the bonnet? I heard the bonnet makes more power and that with the box people have problems getting the idle right. Any input? Thanks

    The box is a pain to deal with because of the linkage and such causing vacuum leaks. The Bonnet is so easy and tuning the carb is easier also. Plus the Bonnet is cheaper.

    Yea I heard that the box is just too many problems and that it gives you less hp because of the turbulence. The bonnet seems to be the way to go from everyone I talk to
