    distributor fo boost

Hi, I want to change the distributor in my carbureted 66 mustang so a mallory mechanical advance may be the best choice, but my car is daily driven to the office and I`m thinking in a pertronix vaccum advance distributor to get better mileage.
    What do you think?
    Thanks

Nothing wrong with vacuum advance in a boosted application. Vac advance functions normally when subjected to off boost conditions. I'd put a check valve in line to assure you don't blow the diaphragm under positive manifold pressure.

If it's a big power setup, you might want some retard capability to optimise it but, if it's just a mild SBF with an SN on it, you'll likely be fine w/o it.

    distributor

I like the MSD distributor and BTM I'm running on my carbed '67. The BTM is nice so you can advance your timing, which may help your MPG when just cruising.
