Question Oil Feed Line Nozzle Thread Size

While running oil lines I noticed the nozzle has different threads than the A-Trim. The SC is 1/8npt.

Is using the nozzle a must?

If so, then what fitting am I missing?

All the pics that can be found show the nozzle screwing directly into the SC.

    Thumbs down

Called Vortech and they claimed EVERY supercharger and EVERY nozzle they sell is 1/8NPT!

    This is NOT a 1/8npt fitting!

Pipe Thread is tapered and of a much finer pitch than Vortech's nozzles.:sprites:

The pic is the Vortech sprayer/nozzle! Linked to their site.

It is identical to the units sold on Superchargersonline.com and is just like the one I have.

They are not 1/8NPT! Possibly the pic is generic?:notagree:

BTW, Vortech lists the Stainless Steel replacement for $26.95...much less than the brass.

I ordered the SS from Vortech along with an idler pulley.

I'll update this when the order arrives.:straight:

    Exclamation

    And the answer is...

The threads are a 'crush fit.' Once the nozzle is screwed in the first time it becomes 1/8NPT.:straight:

    Details details!:freaks:

About 80% done with my install....back to the garage.:teeth:
