    New design impeller

This supplier is offering a newly designed impeller for the V-1, S trim Vortechs. The contention is that it is a more efficient impeller due to the shape of its vanes, a shape that can only be produced by billet CNC milling. Stock impellers are cast, and can't be made with the optimum shape, they say, because with that much curl on the blades, they won't come out of the mold.

They aren't cheap, at $495.00 + 22.00 shipping, but the advantages are said to be worth it.

Max impeller speed is upgraded from 50K to 60K due to the stronger material, and it's said to move approximately 20-percent more air at any given rpm. I assume that means that the 1,000-cfm limit for these stock units would now be over 1,200, with the new impeller.

I bought one, but haven't installed it, yet, as my combination has yet to be run for baseline testing.

I may be able to fix THAT problem in a week or two.

If you have a maxed-out S Trim V-1, this might be of use to you.

I hope it's all true.... I have no proof of anything. Check out the website.
