    Boost

As you know I just bought an old sn93 kit. I'm using the stock pulleys. I know the kits are rated for 5-6 psi on a stock mustang. I also understand that boost is the measurement of restriction. So............

I drove my car and the highest reading on my boost gauge is 4lbs. I have a trick flow cam,gt40 heads, gt40 upper and lower intakes, 73mm maf and 65mm throttlebody blah blah blah...

Is this the reason I'm only seeing 4lb's boost?

Actually it's nominally rated 5 pounds at 6000 rpm, with stock pulleys, on a stock 5.0.

Mine gauges at 4.5 pounds with stock heads and cam and makes 330 horsepower so, yeah, I wouldn't worry too much about 4.5 on an HCI car. You do need to rev it out and load it to see the real #.

Yes it is, The heads are less restrictive so your showing less PSI, but are probably producing the same power as if you seen 5-6psi.
