    Car wont Idle

I have newly installed p-1sc on a 01 cobra. I am running a Pro m Univer in the passenger side fender. Computer was hooked up to the vehicle and air and fuel ratios where fine when u were 1,100 RPM or above. However no matter what electronic numbers u plugged in, the car will fall on its face at idle. I need some suggestions on what to try. I checked for leaks but did not see any. The by/pass vaccume line was hooked and functioning.

Need some suggestions on what to try next.

    thanks

It is very common for the Univer to not sample any or very little air at idle because of the way it is designed. You need to have a tuner set the idle setting different. I know that when Walsh did my buddies 96' w/P1SC, when the car sits at idle, it's almost it's own program because of the lack of air that is being metered. You are having the same sort of effect as you would have if you were to dissconnect the intake tube on your t-body but leave the meter plugged in and try to start your car. The Univer needs a good ammount of air to start metering.

Don thanks for the tip. The idle turned out to be the IAC valve and the amount of air it was reading. Upon this being adjusted, the car now idles fine at 800 RPM.

So you had the car tuned then? How did it end up? Do you have dyno numbers or anything? Who did you have tune it?
