    compression limits

I have a question about the limits of compression and boost. I have a 400 cu. in. sbc with 8.3:1 comp ratio running 14 pounds of boost. I have no problem with this setup except I am spinning the little D1sc right to the max rpm for the blower. I am thinking of raising the comp ration up to 10.0:1 to slow the blower down. Is this the best idea? Should I look into getting a larger blower like an F1? Any input would be helpful. Anyone know what an F1 and bracket for a sbc would cost?

Are you looking to make more power? If you are looking for more power on pump gas, raising the compression is not recommended at all. F1 head units at full retail are $3486 and brackets at full retail run about $425. You will also need a bigger blow off valve most likely, there are a few options here depending on power level. The prices are quoted you are full retail, if you decide you want to go this route, pm or call us and we can cut you a better deal. I hope that answers your question.
