NOVI 2000 - Boost vs. pulley size

Can some of you guys post what boost you're seeing and what size pulley you're running. I'm just looking for a general range....I'm running the stock 10-rib (Is that a 4" pulley???) that came with my 2000 and seeing 8 lbs....

    Thanks.

    so far....12.26 @114 @ 8lbs on a stock AOD w/ shift kit (stock heads / GT-40 intake / stock converter)

OThe stock pulley size is 3.50 and is rated at 8-10 pounds of boost. It will vary depending on your combo. On a stock motor you will see 10 pounds. If you add heads, intake, cam, you will probably see 8 pounds. One problem with the 10 rib kit is that the belt was a little too long and it would allow slippage above 5800. Check your tensioner to make sure that is not bottomed out. If it is I can give you a part number for a gates belt that will work. Another suggestion would be to add a power pipe. With it you will see an increase of 2-3 pounds. Hope this helps

I have an anderson pipe, and I'm only seeing 8-lbs....I'll check the belt tension tonight, but I swear it's larger than 3.5".....It measures 4" outer diameter...... maybe I'm imagining things...

I have a GT-40 intake / 65mm TB, and 73mm C&L with 30lb injectors... but that's it so far for the motor....hopefully I'll have a set of heads on it soon....

The belt that Paxton sent with my kit translates to Gates #K100570. The belt number I used was Gates #K100563. This is the part number I used. It only cost about $26.00 dollars at Carquest auto parts, but it them 2 days to order it.

You're 73mm Mass Air meter is probably the culprit here. When I ordered my Novi 2000, Jack from Muscle Motors informed me to run an 80mm Mass Air on a Novi 2000. He said a 73mm will cost you at least 2 lbs of boost because it's too restrictive for the large inlet of the Novi.

Keep an eye on eBay for one. I got my C&L 80mm brand new with the electronics (the actual meter) and 3 sampling tubes for $120 US. I also believe Ian (88 Cobra) is selling his Pro-M for a good price in the buy & sell section. I'm not sure how big it is though.
