I have a C38. For the build I used the standard oil line fittings provided by Rotrex; by that I mean the rubber tube, push on banjo fittings and spring clips.

On starting the engine I found a sever leak. Due to congestion in the engine compartment It was hard to locate. I re-fitted the right hand valve cover, re-fitted the timing chain tensioner, but still the leak persisted.

What I had done was to position the outlet banjo fitting more or less along the center line of the supercharger unit. The result was that there was insufficient clearance between the banjo push on "barb" and the supercharger housing for the rubber pipe wall thickness and clip. Hence the banjo fitting appeared to be up tight but in fact the banjo sealing surfaces were not sealing flat as they should.

The solution was to loosed the banjo fitting and rotate the barb to an angle more diagonal to the unit centerline.

I was relieved to find what the problem was and the simple solution.
