    Bypass idenification

Ok, I am almost ready to put the car back together. I was looking at the bypass that I got with the blower (bought used). The bypass is by Bosch and it has the number 028014210 can anyone identify this one? Is it the part that came with the original kit? Can it handle about 13psi of boost. Thanks.

Sounds right but I'm not 100% sure. It "might" handle 13lbs of boost, some do some don't. Mine would start to bleed off boost when I was running 13-14lbs of boost.

yea anything over 14-15lbs of boost I would recommend the Vortech Mondo Bypass. I just bought a Vortech Mondo bypass and AFM super bypass kit/powerpipe.

the plastic bosch valves should only be used up to 10 psi.i melted mine at about 12 psi.anything more than 15 psi you should get the mondo valve.i run about 15 psi so i switched to the maxflow aluminum unit.at the time the matching discharge tube wasn't available from vortech so i had a local welder fab the mount on my original tube.they may be available now from vortech.i mounted it on the bend right before the throttle body.

i run a closed loop bypass.any air that is dumped gets routed back to the inlet of the supercharger.i cannot dump the air into the atmosphere because the air has already been measured by the mass air meter.because of this, the valve makes hardly any noise at all.

yeah, i think i'm going to try that myself, though my maf is after the blower. i have only heard bov's on ricers, didn't like the sound . but, i have a different setup, so it may sound different.
