Aaa Rocks!!!!

As most of you know my car was broken into last week and some MF'er tried to steal it. Well, I replaced the steering column, repaired the chopped up wiring, and had a new stereo installed along with an alarm system. My wife talked me into calling our insurance company and filing a claim. I argued with her and said we would only probably get about $100.00 dollars after our $500.00 deductable. I took digital pics of the damage the morning it happened. Here is what AAA gave me for the damage.
Stereo $ 465.81
Column $ 652.64
Wiring repair $ 120.00
Paint and body work $ 812.77
Deductable $-500.00
Total $ 1551.22
I spent $450.00 for a new stereo and alarm. I had a friend that gave me a column:) . I installed a new passenger side door lock Napa $13.00. So I made about $1000.00 because some Dumba** tried to steal my car. The best part about the whole thing? My wife doesn't know about the money from the insurance:D . Maybe I'll take her out to a nice dinner.

good deal doug. I filed the claim with my truck today, hopefully state farm will be just as generous. Glad to here the system took care of you doug. See, good things do happen to nice people. Usually 10 fold.
