i just put on the aluminum quandrant and the firewall adjuster, the tranny grinds in between gears at high rpms. i dont know which way i need to turn the adjuster to straighten out the problem. please help.

i would turn the firewall adjuster out some to take out some of the slack in the cable.

Yeah, basically unscrew the adjuster from the firewall by turning it counter-clockwise to take slack out of the cable.
