I was able to modify the spider tray to get it to fit. I had to remove a decent amount of material so it would fit around the front oil galley. Although, I realized that the stock lifters come out of the bore too much contacting the dog bones lifting them up some at full lift on a stock cam. Now I am not sure what needs to be done with them.

Definitely I will have to machine the block out so the dog bones fill be centered over the lifter bores. This project is beginning to drive me crazy.

Just outta curiosity, did you go with the 8.2 deck block??

I went with the Dart block so that my customizing and machine work would be kept to a minimum, this is not at all good news.

Mine is the 302 8.2" block. I am almost really wishing that I would of went with a Ford block now.

That's the same one I ordered. I'm not looking to run in any specific class so I'm not really limited to lifter/cam choice.

I presently have a new TFS Stage II for the car, maybe I go some other route and bypass the issues you are having.....guess I'll cross that road when I get there.
