    well I went and bought a short block because i had bad blow-by.....i pulled the suspected side 7-8 drivers side and found a BADLY blown head gasket on the top of the jug!!!!!!
    man did i get lucky!!!!!

    Here's a pic of my worst h/g failure of the 3 or 4 I had last year, so did you pick up another DSS shortblock??

    No i didn't but I did buy a short block from a buddy for 300 bucks

    Man and i thought my head gaskets where bad LOL!!

    Yeah DMP, that was the worst I've seen. I made a point to save that H/G, lol. I had to have my heads milled a bit after that one & it left it's "mark" on the top of my stock piston as well.. Hoping I get the "issues" worked out on my new combo...

    Still waiting on that Dart block to arrive :D

    I gave $1900, my machinist/engine builder cut me a deal and that price includes tax, shipping and he's gonna help me out on a .030 bore & hone to accomodate the pistons I already purchased.

    He's not making much if any money on the block, but he'll recoupe his cost in the machine work I'm gonna have done.
