Will new C-4 be any faster ?

With an AOD and a slight stall converter, my car bogged out of the hole badly ( 2.1 60 ft ) Then it would pull very hard and hit the factory rev-limiter going into 2nd and 3rd gears. ( would not shift when i wanted it to ) Basically my transmission sucked. I still managed to go 112 mph. Now its totally destoyed. My new C-4 will be done next week, full roller, manual valve body ( now it will shift at 5900 ), 10" 3800 TCI converter ( anti-ballon plate ). I added fuel( bigger inj. ) and more boost (from 8lbs to 14lbs total ) 26 x 10 slicks.

Do you think i can go high 11's now ?

I hate to break it to ya Frank, but you should run mid to low 11's:D . If it can hook, 60 foot well and trap 115-118, you should be could for at least an 11.50.

Frank, what tranny did you go with and would you mind sharing the price. I'm still kinda saving for my C-4 but just not real sure what my final expense will be.

Doug if my car will trap at 120+ with my five dollar combo than franks should do better than that or I would be pissed. His heads alone plus the boost should put him at 80 horse over me.

Although I am sure my car is in the 2900 pound range.

Ya'all quit teasing me now.........my vert is a full weight 3700 lbs with me and fuel. All I want is an 11 something and i'll be happy. So it is possible with my set-up ......All joking aside.

My friend owns a trans shop, so all parts were at cost and no labor. I have a '77 F-100 pan-fill trans.(lg. bell housing), "H" servo, H.D. sprag, kevlar clutches and bands, new steels, roller bushings, H.D. pump, reverse fully manual valve body....So far all that has cost me $228.oo
    FRPP 164 tooth 50oz C-4 conversion flywheel......$40.oo
    B & M Hammer AOD to C-4 conversion................$55.oo
    TCI 10" 3800 stall loose converter.....................$450.oo
    Thats my total out-of-pocket.
I also gave my friend my old AOD so he can re-build it and sell it.:D

My GT's combo was very similar to yours except I was only making 10 psi on a cold day.

It went 10.9 @ 128 mph with a prety soft launch compared to when it was a stick.

I also think a bigger meter will help. That 70mm Cobra piece is pretty restrictive. I had a Pro-M 75 and Twisted wedge heads, and an E-303 cam. Otherwise it was pretty much the same.
