    Detonation, backfire, not running

I was testing my car last night, after putting it back together, and it was detonating in the higher RPM... Of course I wasn't sure, so I did it two more times to make sure (dumbass). I went home and found out that my timing was at like 15. The nob on the timing light was out of wack. I put my timing to 6deg and went back out.

The car would hesitate, kind of like a misfire and the tach would go crazy and I would have no power and start to surge. All of the sudden it would be fast again.

It felt almost the same way it did when my supercharger pipe was loose and letting air out that had already passed the mass air. I tried revving it at a stop light and I heard a loud backfire and the car shut off. When I tried to restart it, it would stay at 500rpm and I couldn't revv it any higher. I finally got it home and started it this morning and it idles normally, but backfires big time when I revv it....

It sounds like the backfire blew one of the inlet hoses or a vacuum line off. Its called unmetered air and your car will run terrible until you find the leak.
