I think you'd have more luck at the dealer, insurance companies only want to take your money and usually have hell getting them to pay for anything.

Talk with the GM of the dealer, let him know the situation. If they fixed it right the 1st time you would not be having issues so soon unless you have a bad habit of reving the 'ol Ranger up to 5k RPM's and do multiple neutral drops daily :D

I'm also willing to bet that the truck had tranny issues prior to you buying. You may want to research the "lemon Laws" for your state.....

Then you could always threathen the dealership with a bad reporting to the local BBB, not that it'd do a whole lot really.

I guess I'm going to swing by the dealership tomorrow and have em look at it. Will see where it goes from there.

Here's another thought, if you can find an extended warranty plan to purchase that's cheaper than having the tranny fixed outright you may get lucky there, I'm willing to bet the "normal" person would not immediately notice that the trans had issues and you could purchase one even if they had to inspect it.

But the best bet is to raise hell with the dealership, more fun too :D

Yeah sean, I've been looking into that actually, then I would just prorate it later. I was calm and nice today with the gm, but things will be different tomorrow when it gets down to it.

If they piss me off good enough, I'm going and getting my roomies k-5 with the 40" boggers on it, and driving through the flower beds and maybe over a miata after that close down for the night.
