    Question Contemplating A/SC trim purchase

Hey guys, Im brand new to this forum and contemplating getting into the blower scene. I guess my big question is: is it safe to install a blower on a 100,000 mile+ motor? The motor is still strong and doesn't burn any oil, but can I expect to get another 20 or 30k miles out of it after installing a blower? Appreciate the help.

    Aaron,

    Welcome to the site.

I would do a compression test on the motor. If all the numbers look good I would install and enjoy :)

    Aaron,
Again, welcome to the site. I would go one step further than Ian has suggested. I would do a leak down test on the motor. If its in good shape, there is no reason not to get 30-40K more out of it. I have a good friend with a completely stock short block that went 220K before he burnt a piston. He got gready and upped the boost. It's usually operator error as to why our motors blow up.
