anyone using one with their vortechs? if so did you see a decent decrease in oil temp, also how about a increase in oil pressure?

yep, i have one. its a B&M, the small polished one. since i didn't want to run lines forward of the engine i put it under the crank pulley. i was going to run a duct to it as it wasn't in direct air flow. but putting the FMIC in has freed up some front air so it will get direct airflow now.
i am about to install an oil temp gauge, so i can't tell ya that. but i'm sure it sends cooler oil to the blower, and its going to get even cooler oil. i noticed no change in pressure.
in the pic. thats the sway bar. above is the ram air duct

I use the Ford racing heavy duty until on my NOVI car. Works great, lowered temps 20-30 and did not effect oil pressure.
The electric fan really helps in traffic!

umm ... are we talking engine oil cooler, or blower oil cooler ?
mine is for the blower only.
Sorry not sure if he means engine or blower, mine is for engine ;)

Please explain why you did this? Was you hoping it would help to lower the blowers temp this making more power? I've thought about doing this but didn't really think it would help any.Originally posted by V2-SQ Jess

no need to be sorry bro :) . looking back, he probably does mean engine cooler. that said. myself, i see no need for an engine oil cooler. unless you tow, haul heavy loads, do circles at the track, or road race. i don't, and i doubt you do. i had a stock oil cooler, took it off.Originally posted by novipower

1, hoping it would cool the intake charge some.
does it ? = probably not enough to notice.
2, reliability. i'm hoping the cooler oil would make the unit happier and thus last longer. does it ? no way for me to know
but, you know what they say : every little bit helps. and it looks cool
I have the Kenny Brown oil cooler on mine and I did it to keep the oil temp in the engine lower. With the blower I am trying to keep the engine temp as cool as possible. I don't think it has made any difference in the air temp in the blower.

i think i will put the extra temp prob i have for my egt in the discharge tube and see if the oil cooler makes a difference in discharge temps from a before and after comparison. probably not though.
