    Talking It's here!!!

Ohhhh yeah it finally showed up today! I was changing the oil for the last time today from the timing chain cover job, and the UPS guy pulls into the driveway. I knew right away what it was, and my wife was out there with me. I tear the box open and the first words out of her mouth were "My gosh that thing is friggin huge!" :D Oh yeah!

The test drive of the car went great today from the previous work, and so I will probably test fit this beast tomorrow to see if the belt and the Cobra water pump pulley fit with it. Can't wait!! BTW, whats my number for the club now!?!? :D

Had to throw this one in here too for those who have not seen the side by side comparison of stock to the 8" for the single set up. :D

Well that was the quickest deflation of a balloon I have ever saw. The pulley would only go on if I took the water pump pulley off. And thats the only way the belt would go on too. No biggie. I get everything on, and it sure seems like a tight tight TIGHT fit. I start the car, and sure enough they're rubbing each other. And its not the lip of the waterpump pulley rubbing, its the pullies themselves rubbing. Does this mean I need to take the 8" to a machine shop and have them mill the sides down a little, leaving the grooves where they are? Will that be ok with less of a "sidewall" on the crank pulley to keep the belt in the grooves? This is VERY dissapointing.

Chris, you can go to a ford dealer and buy a water pump pulley for a 93 cobra and this should cure your problem from what i have been told.
89 Coupe with parts stacked inside of it and about 30#'s of dust on it with no end in sight. :weird:

BTW, what are you gonna do for a fuel setup for 15 psi?

This is actually with the Cobra water pump pulley installed. Thats why it kinda has me stumped. Everybody else says they got it to work. I won't see 15psi ever out here. Too high in elevation. I am expecting about 10-11 at the most. I'll bump the fuel pressure up as needed. Running 30lbs injectors and a 255lph pump.
