    whats a good a/f ratio.....

    to have on a blower car? Like my mods, what should I run to be safe, but still run strong?
    89 GT - old combo -AOD, S-trimed, 302, stock short block - 6.67@106 with a 1.60 60ft, 4.10 gears. dyno 474rwhp, best in 1/4 3.55 gears 10.83@128 1.67

    11.5:1 is generally what most tuners shoot for but you can go higher than that and be fine. 12:1 would still be safe.

    i wouldnt go any leaner that 11.8, i believe the tuners shoot for 11.5 due to the fact that if its a custom chip your basically "stuck" with that A/F that pretty much covers you and its a safe number to shoot for.

    My car is tune very mildly @ 12.5:1. We plan on getting a little more aggressive w/in the next few weeks (the 30# injectors going static didn't help the situation either).

    IMO...11.5:1 if you want something safe and something that will wear your rings faster. I shoot for 12.5:1 on my car...nothing less than 12.0:1.
