putting a new engine in friday any tips or (you shoulds)

the block pistons crank and rods are together.... my lifters, rockers, heads, windage tray, valve covers, moroso 7 qt oil pan, fuel injectors, inline pump, steering shaft, motor/ trans mounts etc...are still in the boxes. i am going to buy about 24 quarts of 10w30 and 3 fms oil filters... i need to buy a pilot bearing and i guess i am going with a steel flywheel as opposed to an aluminum flywheel :( too many knowledgable people gave a thumbs down to it... so my q is if you had to put in a new engine what things do you wish you could have done better or knew... please help me out. thanx
    p.s. it's a 306 that will be supercharged after about 1,000 miles.
