    Question Compression test question

I'm going to run a compression test this weekend. After reading old threads, I have one simple question (I hope): when removing the center wire from the distributor (feeding from the coil), most procedures call for grounding this wire to the body. Will 10 guage wire with aligator clips at either end be heavy enough for such a job?

Just use a remote starter from the small lead on your starter solenoid to the postive side of your starter solenoid. Leave the key in the off position and it will not start. Make sure you put it in neutral first. A remote starter can be purchased at Kragen, autozone, etc for about $20.00 dollars. Its well worth it.

Thanks Doug - I just so happen to have a remote starter. When you refer to the starter solenoid, is this another name for a starter relay, or are they seperate entities?
