    Help choosing a Supercharger

Im looking to supercharge my 89 gt this winter. I have a stock compression 302 with afr 185 holley intake and a custom comp cam right now but i have set of probe srs 8:1 306 pistons sitting here. I live in las vegas and drive it as only a weekend car. Im considering a d-1 a d-1sc or a novi 2000. I was leaning towards the prochargers because of the intercooler and it being hot here. Also when i go to put the pistons in wondering if i should swap my cam for a blower cam. Right now its a .544 .555 224 232 112. Thanks for the help guys.

Any of those blowers are good. As far as the cam goes, leave it in. You will need all the help on the exhaust side of the engine, and I see that cam does favor the exhaust.

    I like the Novi 2000.....
89 Coupe with parts stacked inside of it and about 30#'s of dust on it with no end in sight. :weird:

    Although I am collecting parts for a 12.5:1 393 :D

I wouldnt (and didnt when I bought mine) trust ATI and Ive been really happy with the NOVI so Im gonna say the NOVI 2000. Those things are supposed to be monsters. Besides all that I'd say go turbo with an intercooler because it is easier on the motor esp considering that hot weather but this is sch racing, not turbo mustangs.com lol. :D

You would have to do a custom intercooler setup for the novi.

I tried the Procharger and am now much happier with the Novi 2000.

"Intercool" the novi with H2O injection (or extra fuel). Air/air intercoolers aren't all that great in hot climates, in fact once heat soaked they are worse than nothing at all.
