    New best

    I wasn't going to make any more new "best time" posts, but here's to vanity.

    Made my first trip to the Barona drag strip today. It's our closest NHRA certified track, and a damn fine one at that. It's only a 1/8, but it's sure nice to run on something that's really sticky.

    Anyways, without further adieu...the second to last run of the day:

    60' = 1.623
    1/8 = 7.572 @ 94.167

    My last run was the first round of eliminations (I had a terrible problem with red lighting all day. This was my first time to use an LED based tree). I didn't know that I had fouled, and slowed at 660' to avoid breaking out. Even so, the times are fun to share:

    60' = 1.590
    1/8 = 7.775 @ 73.839

    Kind of wish I had stayed on the gas, since I think that run would have been a 7.4x, and a good way to be eliminiated (if there can be such a thing).

    Now it's time to see where the 1/4 times are at.

    Congrats again David, that 7.57 would put you in the 11.7X range in the 1/4 if not better.
