    Finally got the S trim on

    ...after a LOT of customization, its about 95# complete now!





    It was a PITA, got the kit with no bolts, stripped threads, car has no SMOG pump, so I made a custom alt. tensioner (and it worked with the stock mounting holes!) no belts, no instructions.

    Its on and I started it, pouring oil into the oil inlet, its friggin LOUD... I love it :D

    What combo are u running?
    89 GT - old combo -AOD, S-trimed, 302, stock short block - 6.67@106 with a 1.60 60ft, 4.10 gears. dyno 474rwhp, best in 1/4 3.55 gears 10.83@128 1.67
    Damn them stock cranks :(

    I imagine u already know to remove the tube from the TB 2 valve cover.....Was still there in your pic....also would get a 45 degree fitting 4 the oil feed hose where it attaches 2 the oil mister..makes it a lot easier/neat 2 route.

    looks good,

    standard rotation waterpump?
    no AC, Smog or PS

    how did you make a tensioner?

    I run a standard rotation water pump. I just use a turnbuckle which mounts to a smog pump hole. Then for the lower alternator bolt, I made a long spacer so everything lines up. Once you get the belt length right, it works pretty well.

    pretty trick alt setup you have! congrats!
    89 Coupe with parts stacked inside of it and about 30#'s of dust on it with no end in sight. :weird:





    Although I am collecting parts for a 12.5:1 393 :D

    That is the same exact way I have my alternator setup. Works great, doesn't it?
