Blown Head Gasket.
how can i tell visible if i have a blown gasket. oil or anything? is this an easy fix? should i take it to the shop? HELP! : (Originally Posted by speedytang
Check your oil level and see if coolant is leaking into the motor (higher than normal oil level, frothy milky oil) - if it is, don't start it!! Is it an easy job? Its not hard to do but time consuming.
i checked my oil and it is bone DRY! just put some in it.......WTF!Originally Posted by Alex

Let the engine warm up and it will expand the split in the gasket. Pull the plugs and you will find the bad area also because the plug (s) will look different. You can also go to AutoZone type stores and they have a pressure unit that you put on your radiator and pump up the pressure and watch the gauge either hold or drop from the leak.
if it the head gacket, will have to remove most of the vortech?
I guess it depends what side, but I would do them in pairs. Odds are yes you will have to remove it. Have you checked your plugs?
