    Any D-2 cogged setup photo's?

I will be going with a cogged setup for my D-2R and was wondering if anyone has photo's of where the inlet of the head unit ends up relative to the shock tower. I believe that the cog bracket moves the head unit toward the firewall about an inch but it's not clear to me how close the inlet moves to the shock tower. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

This photo shows the inlet of the blower and position relative to the shock tower. I can no longer fit the inlet pipe from the serpentine bracket setup, which is why I asked to original question, so I plan on running an inlet pipe to the firewall and into the cowl inlet area. I will post pic's when that is completed.

Looks good John. So the cog set up actually did move the blower slightly? Its amazing sometimes how little people know about their own product lol. What pullies did you end up going with?

    freezy,

Yes, it moved the blower back a little over an inch due to the shorter 3 holed bracket. The crank cog pulley has the 6 rib serpentine grooves almost at the very end of the pulley where it bolts to the damper and the cog teeth are pushed closer the the motor. Probably to reduce stress on the crank snout. I went with the 73/42 pulley pair. This will give me 52,500 on the blower @ 6800 on the motor.

Do you know anybody that has run the blower intake tube to the firewall and into the cowl intake area? Just can't let myself pull in air from over the headers.

I knew a few people that have done that, but mostly people i know make kind of a U-shaped tube off the back of the blower and pull air from behind the bumper. Do you till run a sway bar?

No, swaybar is long gone as well as most of it's mounting bracket in order to fit blower outlet.

We usually cut off that bracket thats welded to the frame on the drivers side fornt the sway bay and run the tube down from there. It looks in your pics that you have the line lock mounted on the tower there, which may make it tight. AT THE TRACK, the best method was a tube ran through the hood, followed by the tube behind the bumper (that we were just talking about), followed by a velosity stack on the back of the blower, folowed by an open blower. Not sure about the tube to the back of the cowl (loke the old renegade cars), probubly somewhere in the middle. The tube to the windshield cowl should be as good as the tube in the hood i would think, or at least close to it. I plan on doing to Tube behind the bumper for mine. I wish i has some pics of one.....

Thanks, great pictures and I see what you are saying. I need to take a look at the amount of room I have down there but I don't think that setup will work for me because I have my outlet tube going down to my intercooler. Those 2 cars run the outlet over the top. I am in the process of moving the line lock anyway to fit my current plan with the cowl inlet.

you know, i forgot that you run the intercooler......i'm not sure it would work for you--you would have to see where the inlet would end up. the cowl may be the best thing. when you get it fabbed up, dont forget to take pics-lol

    good luck with it
