    Bypass Valve Roundup

So with all the options on the market, lets see what people are using, and who has the best prices on each. Please indicate any downfalls or problems you may have had with the bypass valve. All the bypass valves on the market aren't listed here, but these are probably the most common. Some of these are fairly new to the market but I suspect in coming years they will be common place. I used an alphabetical order so there is no preferential treatment.

I run the Vortech Mondo. The only problem I have with it is the size and trying to squeeze it between the valve cover and discharge tube.

I have the Vortech Mondo on my car. I got the valve(new) and the AFM Mondo bypass kit(used) for $175! How could I pass that up? The AFM kit is nice because it solves the space issue with the Vortech bypass set up.

Oh, I just realized you probably tied yours in differently, because I'm using the same one, and it doesn't quite fit perfectly so I used a lil longer silicon hose to line up the openings a little better which inherently created more room. I understand now. I'll attach some pics in a sec of what we did.

Does your discharge line up flush? There was no way mine would, so I'm guessing you have either clocked the blower up or the bracketry we have is different?

Yeah, my blower is clocked up a lot more then yours and it lines up pretty good. Although, I have a 1" spacer between the upper and lower intake which makes the room for the valve.

    Do your valves recirculate?

No, I was going to originally, but I would have had to do more cutting on the powerpipe, and since I'm not using mass air anymore, I don't need to recirculate it. That and I have an auto, so I don't have to get off the throttle between shifts.

I remember seeing Kelly's car at LACR and his recirculating RS setup was pretty sweet. One of the good things that came out of the Vortech merger. They never had that when I bought my kit.
